SBIR: Overview & Best Practices WEBINAR
September 12, 2019 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
WEBINAR – Join us easily from your desktop computer, laptop, or tablet!
The SBIR program is a valuable resource for a small business.
But what is it, exactly? How does a company apply for one? Which agencies participate? What are we in for – do they just give us money and go away?
The answers to these questions have rippling impacts on a business, from the front office to the back office, from operations to human resources to finance. There are many pitfalls to be aware of, and best practices are usually kept quiet due to a lack of networking opportunities available.
In this class, you will learn how to:
1. Describe the basics of the SBIR and STTR programs
2. List the contract and accounting requirements of each of the three phases
3. Evaluate the impact of an SBIR/STTR award to your organization
